Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Agronomist to join our team. As an Agronomist, you will be responsible for advising and supporting agricultural practices, implementing crop management strategies, and optimizing production systems to ensure high-quality yields. You will collaborate with farmers and other specialists to enhance crop performance and sustainability in line with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Crop Management : Develop, implement, and monitor agronomic strategies for optimizing crop production.
- Research & Analysis : Conduct field trials and studies to assess crop performance, soil health, pest control, and other agronomic factors. Analyze data and provide actionable insights to improve agricultural practices.
- Consultation : Advise farmers and clients on best practices for improving crop yields, soil fertility, pest control, and sustainable farming techniques.
- Training & Education : Provide training and guidance to farmers and agricultural staff on new technologies, equipment, and practices in crop production and management.
Requirements:
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Crop Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience : More than 3 years of experience in agronomy, crop management, or related agricultural fields. Experience working with diverse crops and farming systems is a plus.
- Skills :
- Strong knowledge of crop science, soil management and pest control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with farmers and agricultural teams.
- Ability to work in upcountry.
